The Pincho is a highly supportive upholstered bed base centered around a unique, movable solid wood armature on its headboard. Inspired by the protective grip of a human hand, the tension of a crab's pinch, and the upright elegance of a Dali stick, the wood element is functional, not just decorative. When the sleeper sits up—for reading or breakfast—the armature subtly rotates forward, gently but firmly securing two large pillows. This action mimics a supportive hug, providing superior comfort. When the sleeper shifts away, the wood seamlessly returns to a vertical resting position. The Pincho transforms the headboard into an intuitive, self-adjusting partner, offering active support with sculptural serenity.
